Cathedral City is a desert resort city in Riverside County located between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. Sometimes locally called Cat City, it is home to roughly 50,000 people. The city has the second largest population in the Coachella Valley. Like many other desert cities across the valley, the communities here benefit from wealthy celebrities and vacationers who often own second homes in town. Visitors to the city can stop by Frank Sinatra’s grave located in the Desert Memorial Park Cemetary, alongside a number of other late celebrities and entertainers.
