Balboa Pavilion – Harborside Restaurant and Grand Ballroom

Harborside Grand Ballroom is a full-service special events facility located on picturesque Newport Harbor on the Balboa Peninsula. From the dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows of the Grand Ballroom, the seven islands within the peninsula provide a spectacular view of one of the largest small yacht harbors in the world, dubbed part of the "Southern California Riviera". The Harborside Grand Ballroom can accommodate from 50 to 500 guests. Since 1905, this building has been a symbol of Newport Beach. In 1968 it was designated as both a State and National Historic Landmark, which is the highest honor a building can receive. In 2004, the entire facility was remodeled, including the restaurant, as we continue the tradition of this distinguished venue, known for its famous cupola and 1500 night lights. We are very proud to offer this location as one of Newport’s premier waterfront locations, able to accommodate from 50-500 guests, depending on the event. We offer affordable prices, fabulous food, full bar, premium wines, friendly service and the best views of Newport Harbor.

The Grand Ballroom consists of one large room, or it can be divided into two separate rooms for smaller events. We specialize in wedding receptions and ceremonies, bar/bat Mitzvahs, birthdays, cocktail parties, corporate meetings or dinners, reunions, anniversaries, high school or college functions, awards dinners, educational seminars, holiday celebrations, winemaker dinners, memorial services and even dance classes.

The Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade celebration, held every December, has floated past the Pavilion since 1908, making a dramatic backdrop for your Special Day.
