Simply Stylin in Relaxed Threads
My guy has a really distinctive, but relaxed style. It’s laid back and casual, yet pulled together. He isn’t afraid of color or of bucking a trend or two and his style is as unique as he is. It’s part of what attracted me to him in the first place, after all! So when it came time to wedding day duds, I wasn’t a bit surprised when he vetoed the typical tux and tails idea. Since our theme was country chic and our ceremony in our favorite park, I could absolutely get on board with his plan. And off we went in search of the perfect groom attire.
I was amazed at how many options there were! I had been afraid we’d be stuck with that ‘70’s leisure suit style if we ventured off the beaten path. There were suits and jackets in just about any imaginable style, fabric and color. I fell in love with a classic black tuxedo suit we saw … Thought it was a nice compromise between tradition and relaxed, as well as very James- Bond- elegant! He liked it, just thought it was a bit too formal for our laid back gala.
Rocked it with personalized style
We both liked the white linen sport coat. I suggested it be set off with some colorfully fun accessories, and so the search continued, then he spotted a beige cotton sports coat with notched lapel and a two button closure. What a jacket! Not only did it fit him like a glove (a plus as we didn’t have time for extensive tailoring). The cotton fabric and fun cut ensured that he would be relaxed and cool all day. Paired with khaki twill pants and a clean crisp white shirt, and no tie he was the bomb!
On the first day of the rest of our lives, my new hubby rocked it with a personalized style that reflected the warmth of our vows and the cherished intimacy of our relationship.
